Bata Shoe Museum Guided Tour

We had a wonderful presentation about the shoe museum at our January meeting. Now you have a chance to visit the museum and see more of their nearly 15,000 objects. We will visit four galleries with displays of over 4,500 years of history.

The museum is located at 327 Bloor Street West in Toronto. We will take the Bronte GO train to Union Station and then the TTC subway line to the St. George Station. The tour starts at 11:00 and you will be given time to browse. We will grab a lunch at your choice of a nearby cafe or pub.

The cost of the tour is $18 per person.

Location: Amazon Fulfillment Centre, 8060 Heritage Rd. Brampton

Have you ever wondered how Amazon’s huge warehouses function?This tour is an opportunity to experience the immense size of the fulfillment centre and see how tens of millions of items are organized for speedy delivery. You will follow the journey of a customer order from arrival to shipment and watch robotics in action integrated with human employees.

This is a one hour walking tour that covers over a kilometre of distance and includes climbing stairs.

You must wear closed toe and closed heel footwear and any long hair must be tied back. No bags of any size are permitted and any water must be in a transparent container.

All participants will be given a link to an online registration form that must be submitted by November 11.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour and bring government issued ID.
