Social Clubs

We provide opportunities for our members to meet and to get together through a variety of interest clubs. Generally the clubs meet once a month in member’s home and rotate host/hostess duties.

Nosh is slang for food and we have four clubs that meet monthly for a few hours of fun. The basic premise is that members take turns at hosting. The host provides the venue and dessert and each guest brings a plate of hors d'oeuvres (finger snacks) and their own beverages!

We have four book clubs that meet monthly to discuss a book chosen by that particular month's host/hostess. The Clubs generally use the lending program of the Milton Public library for the supply of the chosen books.

We also have a book sharing club at our monthly general meeting.

Card and Board Games

We have several card playing groups that meet monthly for healthy competition: Bid Euchre, Bridge, Cribbage, Canasta, and Euchre.

There are 2 board game groups: Jokers and Bee Gees. The Bee Gees play a different game each month chosen by the host/hostess.

Classical Music

The Classical Music club is for those who appreciate and love to listen to and discuss music.

Chicks with Sticks (knitting) and the Piece Makers (quilting) clubs meet monthly to show their current projects and exchange ideas and tips. On occasion, an outing is planned to a local museum, exhibition, or shops.

We have three dining clubs. Two go out to local restaurants and one is hosted in members' homes.

The Lunch Bunch meets at different restaurants after the general meeting.

Skip the Dishes savours fine dining one evening a month at a local restaurant.

The Supper Club arranges dinners that cater to eight people, with each couple (or two singles) responsible for ¼ of the pre-determined menu. Cost of the food and wine is divided among the couples.

There are two groups (Basic and Conversation) that provide a non-judgmental and relaxed atmosphere where members can learn/converse in French and have fun.

The friendship club meets for coffee and conversation at Seasons Retirement Home on Bronte Street.

Our Hiking group hikes easy to moderate trails generally within Halton Region (conservation areas, regional forest tracts, Royal Botanical Gardens, etc.).

Movie Club

The Oscar Nights club goes to the Galaxy Cinema, Milton, to watch movies. Afterwards, they gather at Turtle Jacks for friendship and to rate the movie(s).

PIE (PROBUS Information Exchange)

This is an online club where members share product information or service recommendations. It is an opportunity to take advantage of our club's vast store of knowledge to help ourselves.

The Ten Pin Bowling club plays at the Champs Bowling Rink on Bronte Street.

The Pin Seekers play golf at Granite Ridge between May and September.

Grapenuts is our wine tasting club that offers one to three opportunities each month to participate in tasting and rating six different wines on a theme chosen by the host/hostess.

The D'Stillers meet to sample three to five different liquors! Designated drivers are mandatory and are generally offered coffee and the opportunity to chat!

Suds and Buds is a beer tasting club run similarly to the wine tasting group, tasting and rating four or more beers.

Wanderlust members share travel pictures and stories with other people who are interested.

Something Missing?

The management team is always interested in considering proposals for new groups and activities.

Place your ideas in the suggestion box at the general meeting.
