Card players meet monthly for healthy competition in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The host/hostess dictates the maximum number of players that their home can accommodate.
Bid Euchre is based on the game Euchre. It introduces an element of bidding in which the trump suit is decided by which player can bid to take the most tricks.
Contract bridge, or simply bridge, is a trick-taking card game using a standard 52-card deck. In its basic format, it is played by four players in two competing partnerships.
Canasta is a card game of the rummy family of games believed to be a variant of 500 Rum. Although many variations exist for two, three, five or six players, it is most commonly played by four in two partnerships with two standard decks of cards.
Cribbage, or crib, is a card game, traditionally for two players, that involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gain points. It can be adapted for three or four players. The Card Sharp Cribbage Group also runs a Winter League where Martin sends out weekly stats and match-ups.
Euchre is a trick-taking card game commonly played in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Great Britain, and the United States. We play with a deck of 24 standard playing cards (9-A). Normally there are four players, two on each team, although there are variations that range from two to nine players.
