    Come out and join us at the Velodrome to walk with the “In-Stride Walking Club”.   Every Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (or your choice to stay longer) we will meet and enjoy walking the track. 

    All you have to do is purchase a membership from the Town of Milton at the cost of $34.77/year (including tax) and put on your walking shoes to enjoy the panoramic views and get in some steps.  If you wish, we can go for coffee or breakfast after our walk and continue to enjoy the fellowship of the “In-Stride Walking Club”.

    Get ready golf enthusiasts! We hope to see returning members and look forward to new members. Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, there is a place for you.

    We play 9 holes, 10 times per year at Turtle Creek Golf Course, located at 11660 Guelph Line, Campbellville. The fee is $30.00 per game for walking, additional $12.00 for Power Carts. Tee times are scheduled at 10 minute intervals starting at 9:00am on various Mondays throughout the season. 

    This year we are also offering the option to play 18 holes at a cost of $38.00 walking or $50.00 with a cart. When you register please select the 9 or 18 holes option as well as yes or no to a cart.

    Here are the dates: May 26, June 9, June 23, July 7, July 21, August 18, August 25, September 8, September 15, October 6 (Scramble). Whether you play 1 game or all ten times you are always welcome.

    You will register in Wild Apricot each time you wish to play. Registration is open 12 days before starting times and you must register by 11:59pm THURSDAY before golf date if you plan to play the following Monday. You will receive an email on Saturday of your start time.

    PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ONLY REGISTER FOR OUR UPCOMING GOLF EVENT IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND. WE UNDERSTAND THAT UNEXPECTED CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ARISE; HOWEVER, YOUR THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATION BEFORE REGISTERING HELPS US PLAN BETTER.

    The game of the month is Mille Bornes, suggested by Lorhel and provided by Diane.

    Object of the Game: The premise of Mille Bornes is that the players are in a road race. Each race—or hand—is 1000 miles (or kilometers) long. For two- or three-player games the goal is shortened to 700, with an option for the first player to complete that distance to declare an extension to 1000 miles. Mille Bornes is played with a special deck of cards. There are hazard, remedy, safety, and distance cards. Each hazard is corrected by a corresponding remedy, and can be prevented from happening in the first place by a corresponding safety. The target distance is reached by playing distance cards.

    We ask that you bring your own snacks and beverages (in reusable containers). We also ask that you bring a Toonie ($2) donation for the church. Thanks for your co-operation.

    Object of the Game: Rummoli can be played by two to eight players on the "Rummoli" playing surface with a standard deck of playing cards (minus the Joker) and counters or chips. The objective is to collect chips by having the best poker hand and/or playing cards that matches one of the seven pay card spaces and collecting the chips on that space.

    The game of the month is Ticket to Ride: Africa, suggested and provided by Lorrette.

    Object of the Game: To complete routes and collect points. This is the first expansion to really change the basic game significantly. It did so in two very distinct but related ways. It added a third deck of terrain cards, giving players a choice of drawing train cards or terrain cards each turn. Also, cities have as many routes of the same color into them as possible. This changes the way players must draw cards, and adds quite a bit of value to the wild cards, with the gold at the end of the rainbow being the extra points players score for the terrain cards.

    We will also have the original US game.

    We ask that you bring your own snacks and beverages (in reusable containers). We also ask that you bring a Toonie ($2) donation for the church. Thanks for your co-operation.

    Auriel and Don are hosting the upcoming Thursday Jokers at  Grace Church Hall.  We will need extra games so please indicate if you can bring a board, marbles, and cards.

    We have set the limit to 20. If it is full, please add your name to the waitlist and when we get another complete table of four,  we will up the limit and you will get a confirmation email.

    We ask that you bring your own snacks and beverages (in reusable containers). We also ask that you bring a toonie ($2) donation for the church. Thanks for your co-operation.
